In short, Chris Evans’s portrayal of Steve Rogers – a man out of his time dealing with inner conflicts and questioning his role in the modern world was exceptional, to say the least.
Knives Out (2019)
Knives Out, directed by Rian Johnson, is a classic whodunit film. If you like murder mysteries, especially the ones written by Agatha Christie, this is a must-watch.
In the movie Knives Out, a wealthy patriarch and crime novelist, Harlan Thrombey, is found dead in his home. Famous detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, is called to investigate his death.
Chris Evans plays the bad guy in Knives Out, but it is a refreshing change from his usual roles as the righteous hero. But even as a bad guy, he is marvelous. Evans’s character is sly, funny, witty, charming, and even ruthless in some situations, enabling him to show his full range as an actor.
Gifted (2017)
In the movie Gifted. Chris Evans plays an absolutely ordinary man living in Florida. The plot follows the story of Frank Adler, a single man who lives and works as a boat repairman in a small town in Florida.
He lives with his 7-year-old niece, Mary Adler, and is her guardian after her mother committed suicide. Frank gets involved in a custody battle over Mary with his own mother, Evelyn.
Gifted allows Evans to show off his dramatic acting chops. Chris Evan’s role as an ordinary man and a caring uncle to a seven-year-old girl is guaranteed to warm your heart right to its core and even force you to shed a tear or two.
Snowpiercer (2013)
Directed by Bong Joon-ho, the movie Snowpiercer is a dystopian sci-fi thriller featuring class conflict and the rights of the oppressed lower class. The plot is set in a dystopian future where the world has turned into a frozen wasteland due to a failed climate-change experiment.
The few remaining human survivors are onboard a luxury train called the Snowpiercer, which goes around the globe. Curtis Everett, played by Chris Evans, is a lower-class citizen living at the back of the train.
He plans a rebellion to overthrow the autocratic regime led by a member of the upper class, Mr. Wilford. Chris Evans shows his class as an actor in this movie.
He does a great job portraying the role of Curtis Everett. A reluctant hero fighting for survival in a constantly revolving train.
