It’s almost the end of September and the nights are drawing in. Welcome to the start of Autumn! The mornings are becoming crisp, leaves are falling from trees and with that comes beautiful foliage. We love this time of year, so we thought we’d share some photos of our favorite things about this time of year: the colours, smells and tastes associated with autumn! There isn’t much natural beauty left after the heatwave we experienced earlier this summer; however, we can still enjoy it when we look at these photos from last year. It’s fair to say that nothing compares to being immersed in nature – whether it be at home or while on holiday. And what could be better than spending some time surrounded by Mother Nature? If you feel the same way, take a look at the following blog post and discover where you can go to experience all things autumn!

This is one of our favourite ways to enjoy the autumn season. Whether it’s on your own, with a loved one, or as a family excursion, nothing compares to being surrounded by nature. There are many different types of woods to choose from, so you are bound to find one that you love. If you do decide to go on a woodland walk, keep your eyes peeled for fallen leaves, acorns and native berries. You can also go apple picking to experience the autumn season. Where apples are grown, you can head out to a pick-your-own orchard and harvest your own apples. Make sure you have a taste test before you leave, as there are so many different varieties to choose from!

Of course, apples are synonymous with autumn. They are the perfect fruits to go along with the season, as they are sweet and delicious, yet also a bit tart. There are many types of apples out there and once you taste them, you’ll want to try as many as you can! What’s even better, is that apples are not only delicious to eat, but you can do so many other things with them, too! You can make apple pies, apple crumble and apple cake. You can even make apple cider! You can use apples to make a variety of products, too. For instance, you can use them to make your own applesauce, apple butter and apple juice. You can even use apples in your skincare routine. What’s more, you can use apples to make a refreshing drink that is great for the autumn season: apple cider!

Celebrate with autumnal food : Garden Centre

Autumn is the perfect time to enjoy seasonal delicacies. You can, naturally, enjoy many fruits such as apples, pears, oranges and avocados, but what about vegetables? Pumpkin, sweet potato and butternut squash are all perfect to eat during autumn and winter. If you are looking for something a little more traditional, you can try roasted vegetables, parsnips, carrots and potatoes. If you want to try something different, why not try your hand at making some cornbread or stuffing? You can also enjoy some dairy products, too. Dairy products such as cheddar cheese, butter, gouda cheese and other hard cheeses are perfect for the autumn season. As well as enjoying these foods and beverages, you can also use them to make decorations for your house. For example, you can make your own pumpkin pie, or even pumpkin soup!

Bake your own seasonal treats 

As well as enjoying apple pie, apple pie is also a great baking project for the autumn. As well as baking pies, you can also make your own apple butter, apple muffins and apple crumble. You can even try making apple jam if you feel adventurous enough! Why not get a group of friends together and bake a selection of apple treats? You can also try your hand at making other seasonal treats at this time of year, too. For example, you could make your own coleslaw, or even your own pumpkin seeds! You can make sweets such as chocolate orange marmalade, cinnamon cookies and toffee apples. You can also make pumpkin pie, spiced nuts, pumpkinseed crackers and apple crisps. There are many other seasonal treats that you can make during the autumn season, so what are you waiting for?

There are many festivals that you can attend during the autumn season. These events are great for families and couples, as you can enjoy all the festivities, food and fun. Bonfire night is also a great event to celebrate the autumn season. Bonfire night is celebrated on November 5th each year in the UK and dates back to the 16th century. This is a great opportunity to get together with friends and family and enjoy hot chocolate, marshmallows and other treats. There are many ways that you can celebrate the autumn season. You can enjoy delicious autumnal foods, go on a woodland walk, enjoy festivals and bonfire night parties or even try your hand at baking some delicious treats.
